ITALIAN GRAND PRIX- FP1 REVIEW

    A collision between Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon had red-flagged the first practice session of the 2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Both Redbull and alpine cause unable to continue and craned of the circuit. Checo had been on the last lap and Ocon on the slowdown and they are coming together which ended both of their sessions. Unfortunately, the technical issues at the track meant no replays or onboard cameras of the incident would podcast during the session. Nikita Mazepin also crashed out, the Russian overshooting the curb which leads to touching the travel then he spun off and crashing near the pit lane entrance.

Yuki Tsunoda also slithered into the stones at Tamburello luckily no damage to his Alpha Tauri. Even the most experienced drives struggle to keep their car away from the gravel, yesterday max Verstappen has also made his way into gravel. Last year in Bahrain Max Verstappen should have won the race but he made Hamilton cut the chicane in which he got the penalty. It is going to be exciting this Sunday with these two on the grid. 


Carlos Sainz dipped turning into the gravel as the Maranello new boy got to grips with the Ferrari on home soil. Nicolas Latifi saw his Williams go on to the gravel.

It was the silver arrow lockout the front row. with Bottas just 4 thousandths of a second quicker than Hamilton just ahead of Verstappen. 

Charles Leclerc had a solid session for FP1 just behind Max Verstappen of Two-tenths of a second back at the leaders followed by Pierre Gasly and Sainz. at the same time. The two-time Imola winner  Fernando Alonso led the chasing pack, his best time good enough for P7 ahead of lance stroll, Latifi and Mclaren of Daniel Ricciardo rounding off the top 10. 

A decent session for George Russel, Britain at P11 at which the circuit the Williams cars showed well last year., then came Kimi Raikkanen, Lando Norris. Sebastian Vettel and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Perez and Ocon are P16 and P17 respectively after their early containment. with Mazepin P18 with Mick Schumcher and Tsunoda rounding out of the table.
