Charles Leclerc crashed out of second practice at the autodroma Enzo e dino Ferrari di Imola. It was another Mercedes One-Two completing a Brackley Bonanza of Friday with Valtteri Bottas P1, just a hundredth of a second quicker than Lewis Hamilton.
A technical malfunction curtailed max Verstappen's practice session, the spelt the end of dutch man's day. coupled with Sergio Perez's accident in 1st practice it all adds up to a disappointing for RedBull, although the Mexican did bag the 6th fastest time by close of play
After FP! Haas team principal Guenther Steiner had declared Nikita Mazepin was trying too hard, the Russian of the track twice in the morning, the second time fining the wall, his afternoon was less dramatic but not with its problems.

So Mercedes with top two slots once again and Pierre Gasly superb P3 just six one-hundredths behind Lewis hamilton. Sainz, Leclerc and Perez were some 6 tenths back. ahead of Alpha Tauri's Yuki Tsunoda who continuous to impress in his rookie season.
Norris in P8 and Antonio Giovinazzi just behind in P9, hmmm his lucky underwear seemingly serving him well. In the Thursday press conference, Mick revealed that the Italian has some very personal superstitions.
